The brand new HTC Desire HD succeeds. It’s powered by Android 2.2 (Froyo) and HTC Sense. It relies on the Qualcomm 8255 Snapdragon processor 1 GHz. The screen used is a capacitive multi-size 4.3 inches (in contracts to the3.7 inches in the Desire), a size that we had seen on the HTC HD2 (Windows Phone 6.5).
Multimedia side, you will receive an audio system with Dolby Mobile and SRS Surround as well as an 8-megapixel camera with dual flash and video recording in HD 720p. Note the possible reading Xvid video files, and of course the compatibility of Adobe Flash 10.1, native with Android 2.2, for surfing the Internet.
The HTC Desire HD also features HTC’s new Quick Start, which allows for quick calls and check emails by shortening the time required to complete start of the phone.
Building on the legacy of the HTC Legend unibody, this smartphone is carved from a solid block of aluminum, which looks likely to stand out from the design of some glossy plastic and smartphones.
HTC seems determined not to fall behind the competition in general and especially behind Samsung. Evidence with this is the HTC Desire HD with specifications to create envy in other manufacturers.
HTC’s reputation is well established in Android smartphones. The Taiwanese manufacturer has certainly been a major player in this emerging market segment this year with the rise of Samsung and its Galaxy models, but far from their allegiance, HTC against attack with products for all prices. Everything in this Desire HD exudes luxury. Technical specifications at the price through the user interface, HTC seems to have tweaked the smallest detail to make this smartphone a compelling product for you.
The HTC Desire HD remains primarily a phone. Thankfully, HTC has not forgotten that this smartphone provides high quality audio when you are having conversations. Moreover, it’s no accident that it is among the first phones that carry the label “HD voice”, the new Orange label which guarantees a high quality for conversations. In terms of autonomy, the Desire HD is about average for this type of smartphone, meaning that one should not expect it to take more than a full day with Push messages, 30 minutes of video, 30 minutes to an hour of games and music player.
