Our 2nd favorite Japanese manufacturer gives us the Toshiba Excite 10 LE, a brand new ultra-slim tablet with a bundle of features and a really exciting style.
The Toshiba Excite 10LE comes just days after the announcment of the new iPad, Toshiba now attacks the market by presenting its next tablet. 10 HE dubbed Excite, shows off these new features to try and become the leading Toshiba tablet to rival that of its own in house competitor the Toshiba Thrive.
Listed specifications, these are according to the Canadian Toshiba site, the new tablet is thinner than its competitor measuring only 76mm and weighs 535g. On the data, we can see it’s animated by a Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 dual-core which is slightly overclocked to 1.2 GHz in Cortex A9 architecture with PowerVR SGX540 graphics, all accompanied by 1 GB of RAM. The screen is 10.1 inch IPS, with a resolution of 1280 x 800. On the back a camera is present and 5Mpx filming in 1080p and a second camera on the front allowing 2MP video calls. To top it off, Toshiba has equipped the tablet with a GPS chip, a gyroscope, Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi b / g / n, a microSD card slot, a mini USB port and a micro HDMI format.
First delivered in Android 3.2 Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0, and will be available in two models. A first draft is a proposed 16 GB and a second version of 32 GB. Two new models that titillate our curiosity by offering an ultra fine style at a competitive price. The Toshiba Excite 10LE looks great and packs a punch, maybe I will have to go get one!..
